Letter from a pilgrim to The Remnant

Dear Mr Matt,

I am a 13 year old girl in Adelaide, South Australia who reads the Remnant. There is not another thirteen year old I know in Adelaide who does.

I am lucky enough that here in Australia we have our annual Traditional Christus Rex Pilgrimage from Ballarat to Bendigo, Victoria.

I would like to draw to the Remnant's and the Remnant's readers attention of this wonderful event held from Friday to Sunday on the week-end of the traditional Feast of Christ the King in October. The Pilgrimage itself is based on the famous Paris to Chartes Pilgrimage in France. A pilgrimage I know the Remnant participates in. The Christus Rex Pilgrimage has been going for seventeen years and is celebrated to give glory to Christ the King.

This year the seventeenth year has been the biggest yet with approximately 260 registrations and Francesca Wills and the rest of the Christus Rex society would like it to grow. The pilgrimage includes daily traditional mass, compline, homilies during breaks, confession, blessings and a Children's chapter. If you would like more information on the Christus Rex Pilgrimage there are videos, photos, letters and registration information on the website www.crex.org

May God Bless you
Yours Truly

Dear Miss Ronson,

Good day, to you. Many thanks for your well-written letter, which most assuredly will appear in the next issue of The Remnant. I would like very much to make this pilgrimage one day. Perhaps I will, God willing.

Many thanks as well for reading The Remnant. I'm very pleased to have you as a subscriber. Should you ever care to write little update letters on how things are going for Catholic families living in Australia, please know that I would be delighted to publish them in The Remnant. I think young ladies in America would be inspired by your letters and by your commitment to serve our Lord, Christ the King.

God bless you always,
Michael Matt
